Drew this for Halloween. I felt like drawing a woman from the twenties and a vampire, and this was the result. Took 16 hours. Done in charcoal, pastel, and colored pencil.

Alas, poor Yorick. I knew him well Horatio.

This sort of reminds me of that scene in Shakespeare's "Macbeth," if you want to picture it in 1920s New York with a feminine Macbeth.

2 Kristin Lewis replies: "Hmm... what an interesting way to look at it. Thanks!"

Fantastic colors! They really create the mood. As well as the skull. But I really love the toned down colors and the brighter red tones. And I love the balance of the picture.

1 Kristin Lewis replies: "Thanks! I rarely do muted toned pictures anymore, but I definitely enjoyed it. Glad you stopped by!"

When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought it was a tattoo ^_^' It would be an excellent tattoo though. I love the way you put color to it. 'Tis wonderful.

Oh what I would give to be able to use color like you. I'm strictly grey pencil at the moment, and wouldn't know how to go about learning that skill. Ah well, I looked through your gallery and everything was beautiful, the colors, the detail, everything.

1 Kristin Lewis replies: "Thank you! I only used pencil at first, but you have you dive in and just try experimenting with new things; it's tough at first but you get the hang of it. 2"
