Hi! Welcome to my world! I was born in Norway in 1972, and has been drawing more or less since I got hold of my first pencil. I've been told I got it in my genes. Both my parents and my grandfather got the same urge to draw. In later years my time has been filled being a mother, farmer and part time teacher. Early 2004 I came across these woods when I was searcing for WoT images for inspiration. And WOW did I find it!!! The artists in these woods really gave me a kick to start drawing again! Some interests other than WoT are vikings, nordic mythology, the animal kingdom (you know wolves, ravens and so on...), and other fantasy litterature. By the way, the photo of me as a viking was taken in february -03 at the viking festival in York,U.K.
09.04.05 Short update: I've been blessed with a daughter! And as you might imagine, this takes a lot of time. So be patient for a little longer and changes will appear on this page. Mostly due to me having bought myself a Wacom Intous 3 and Corel Painter IX for my birthday! Takes a bit of getting used to, but you'll see the results when I make something worth showing :-)

Hey, have you ever been to a viking festival in Iceland? There are two every year, the one in Hafnafjörđur is really big and really cool! I even know some vikings! The other festival is at Eiríksstađir, where Leifur (the one who found America!!!) was born and his father, Eiríkur rauđi (Eric the Red) lived for a short time. That one is rather small but still nice. Oh, I even know a woman from Norway who was a viking there one time! And I think she was a teacher...

But anyway, nice pictures. But I have to say that Frigg had longer hair (or was it in a knot perhaps?) and I THINK that one half of Hel was supposed to be beautiful but the other dead and rotten. But, oh well.... hej a norge og bless, bless!

:-) Inger Lise Gobakken replies: "The only festival I've been to outside Norway is the one in York, U.K. Frigg is a mother, and as I noticed when I became one, you need to put your hair out of reach for little fingers... I read up on Hel before I made her, and I found so many different descriptions. So I combined some of them and made my own Hel 1 "
