Once Reggie gains his 'ring' talismen, he finds himself within a recurring vision of Duncan's horrific devastation, but is unsure if it is a nightmare of the past, or a vision of the future...

Again, lovely colour and compisition. The foreground draws my attention like a magnet, and it sounds like Reggie is in for an adventure. It is a beautiful piece, with an intriguing concept to go with it.

:-) Barbara L. Jacobs replies: "Lucinda- thank you for the nice comments, again. I like to hear from people what attracts their attention, and the foreground was my main focus on this- wanted the viewer to kind of experience what Reggie was experiencing... kind of an "ewww...dead things!" Thanks for stopping by my gallery!! ~B"

Wow Barb...a really well-detailed foreground...shows the devastation without being too macabre. Another great pic! *smiles*

:-) Barbara L. Jacobs replies: "Thank you Wendy! I am glad it wasnt TOO dark- wanted it to be disturbing but not go overboard. Again thank so much for taking the time out of your carrazy schedule to comment!! {{{ }}} Barb"

And again, your work is astonishing. Lovely, lovely composition and exquisite color.

:-) Barbara L. Jacobs replies: "Snapdragon, thank you for another kind comment. I wasnt sure about the color on this- I fussed over it quite a bit- good to hear an opinion on that. THanks again for commenting!!! ~B"

This baby goes immediately into my top-five all-time TALISMEN favorites!!! Man, this is a wonderful picture. Okay, it's scary and gross, but it's great. It embodies so much of Reggie's emotions. It embodies the weight and danger of his destiny. It embodies the underlying horror of Duncan's past and it's possible future. It...does a whole lot, doesn't it?! ;-) Having said all this, I hope you'll forgive me, Barb, that I can't help chuckling whenever I look at that one skeleton dangling from that tree limb behind Reggie. (hee-hee-hee...that's so cute.) Okay, I'm a sick tuna. What can I say? 1

:-) Barbara L. Jacobs replies: "This was one I had in my mind for some time- curious to know what the other four favorites are- i think I know two of them, and I dont think they are on this gallery.

anyway thank you! ~B"

Great picture. I love your work and how you get the emotion and feel for the picture. It's unbelieveable. It's terrible sight but good job.

I'm liking this picture a lot, even if it is a little dark. It's very...epic. And I like the thorns. I'm not sure whichi is sharper, the mountains or the sky. Great effect, that!

The thorns look stunning, and reggie's expression is priceless. I love the use of light and your lineart is wonderful. beautiful!!

Ooh nasty! The poor kid. I hope that’s not his future.
