Now sit down and make something! I never... *huff* Isaac A. Gallegos replies: "They rejected my stuff because zombies are not fantasy or scifi.... So I guess they fall into the catagory of "real". " | |

(big dragon extends a claw to shake) I have a question for you, since you are the only zombie-drawing comic book ( or do they call them Graphic Novels now?) I have met on elfwood (or anywhere else, for that matter) . Why are the Undead always so danged malevolent?? I mean you would think they would be happy just not being dead and all. And why do they want to eat people? There are so many other things to eat, and people would probably be so high in cholesterol. I kinda worry about that Melanie Wood chewing your foot off- I think the coffee has her a little hyper! Isaac A. Gallegos replies: "It took me an hour to figure out how to reply...
You’re asking an American why he likes to see stuff get ripped apart. Did you know I can legally buy a war tank where I live? And drive it around. Americans run to what ever movie is about the end of the world and love freaking out over viral epidemics. Everyone I know has a zombie plan! Most of them involve killing as many zombies as possible with our guns, axes, and swords. Americans love zombie movies because everyone here assumes they’d do a much better job than the characters on film. And of course they would! Because everyone and their grandma has fully automatic assault rifles and shotguns they’re just itching to use. USA!!!

| 2 Jun 2009 | Tom Draco Noir Taylor | Loading...Hey, Issac! Thanks for responding to my somewhat rhetorical question, but you hit it right on it’s undead head! I have a few friends like what you mentioned, well armed and expecting -an invasion? Anarchy? roaming gangs of street thugs? None of my friends actually believes in Alien(ET) invasion per se, or Zombies. I recently heard that there were some people in the Northwest U.S. that really did think there would be attacks by re-animated( By the Government? ) Zombies. Are there really folks that believe this is possible , or were you just teasing" I ask because a few years back i saw an alleged report of the Military experimenting with the idea of remotely controlling recently deceased soldiers with Borg-like components. I doubt the validity of such a report, but the technology is there, if someone were crazy enough to use it. Anyhow , you are so right, it seems we can’t get enough of such stories, fictional or otherwise. I remember the cold-war hysteria as a kid, and even going through drills at school to get under the desk and cover in event of nuclear attack. Now I realize that the proper procedure is to kiss your hand, pat your backside and kiss your butt goodbye!I remember backyard fallout shelters too. And if you do have any info on real live Zombie making ops, let me know so I can start digging now and stocking up! Hey, a few years ago I wouldn’t have believed in genetically altered tomatoes with fish genes, or goats with spider DNA so they could produce spider silk from their milk- so I really am not trying to ridicule those people who fear what the Gov. or Big Biz might do. If there’s a profit in Zombies, someone probably figure out a way. I myself fear the unbridled use of technology an mucking about with the genome. And Frankenfoods scare me too. Hope to see your stories posted , you always might try adding an alien or an elf to keep it in Genre!(Vampire stories make it on all the time , and werewolves too. ) Isaac A. Gallegos replies: "Rock on. " | |
| 4 Jun 2009 | Jared Shinryu Hand | Loading...Hi. I can’t wait to see your artwork. and stuff. Isaac A. Gallegos replies: "Thanks. Every year I try to post my work. Maybe this time they’ll let zombies onto elfwood... " | |
| 5 Jun 2009 | Melanie ´Coffee Goddess´ Wood | Loading...Who’s not letting zombies into EW? The very idea! I’ve brought back your octopus by the way. I tried to give him coffee and peanut butter but he does not fancy them. Isaac A. Gallegos replies: "THEY LET ONE UP!!!!" | |
| 5 Jun 2009 | Tom Draco Noir Taylor | Loading...Hey Issac! Still not letting the Zombies in,eh? I really do find that strange. Apparently they consider Zombies as NOT fantasy!! Dang, maybe my friends are right, and I should go get a Bazooka or something. Anyway, how are things in your part of the Elfwood today? I see Melanie returned your octopus. I don’t know what could be wrong with it- ours just loves coffee and peanut butter, preferably mixed together, with a few anchovies thrown in for good measure. Isaac A. Gallegos replies: "THEY LET ONE UP!!!!" | |
