An ancient dragon rises from the depths of the ravine where he has slumbered for centuries. Time for breakfast.

I started drawing this chap while at my table at Dragon*con 2007. Then he sat in my sketchbook for a long, long time until I got around to shading him with watercolours then ran him through Photoshop to bring out the details and add in atmosphere... and here we are!

This is fantastic! Very well done with the details and the mood of the picture! Great shading and highlighting! The background is a bit "thin" compared to the dragon, but then, the dragon is good enough for both! 12 Congrats on a well deserved MC! 1

Wow, amazing detail. I love how he is literally part of the ground for his bottom half, and that one gigantic claw digging into the dirt. Really really cool.

I just noticed the tiny skulls stuck to his horns.
