You have NO idea how long this took. I started it in August 2007 with the intention of having it ready in time for Dragon*Con at the end of the month. I didn't finish him until over Christmas! There is more I could have done with this picture but after so long I just wanted it finished.

in case you need to ask:
0.1 and 0.13 Rotring Rapidographs on uber smooth cartridge paper.

I’ve always thought stippling was the best way to shade a dragon, or anything reptilian for that matter. It’s instant texture.
I really like the overall build of it, like a Eastern/Western hybrid. Very cool. A handsome beast, indeed.
