Yeah.... It’s not supposed to make all the sense in the world right now. I’m trying to incorporate a sense of suspense and mystery, to draw my readers in. Is it working? lol I hope so. I had another reader comment a few chapters. She gave some very helpful constructive criticism about the situation Eryk and Elizabeth are in with Matthew, so I went back to Chapter One and changed a few things so that the plot makes a little more sense. Just a couple paragraphs, but I think it makes the whole thing flow much better. I’m working on the fourth chapter right now; it starts out with Eryk’s first day at Huld Forest Academy. It’s coming along. I’ll let you know when I post it.

P.S. Vampires are a no-go at the moment with all the Twilight stuff circulating the way it is. I might incorporate something to with them later on in the series, but not right now. Something else, however, might be on the menu.

Meg J Milano replies: "You have definitely achieved a killer level of suspense. No pun intended. I totally agree with the vampire thing, but your story is really original. I love the mountain idea. It makes for a good "small town feel" My attempts at suspense have been icky thus far. I’m more of an action kinda girl ya know? But im working on it . I’m wondering if Eryk is the guy who shows up at her house late at night. I hope not, but then again I don’t know what to think!!! I love the conflict haha. And who the heck is the prologue all about? man I can’t wait for more. Thanks for the comments on Cross My Heart. It hasn’t been getting much traffic, but since I’ve taken down some other works things have been getting better. In my OTHER WORKS section is where I put my one attempt at suspense if you wanna check it out.

Hey Meg I know it’s been quit some time, and I’m not sure if I ever told you that they had posted a few more chapters of my story. I liked and welcomed your words of both criticism and approval; it’s good to hear the good and the bad. This is the only way I’ll ever learn to better what I write. Also with luck EW will be posting a couple chapters of another story I have going on. I do hope you get a chance to drop by and read a few more.
