Hmm tips...well other than the scissors thing (and that really is good advice!) Shading-wise I'd say pick up some Vellum Bristol/Bristol Board. Your paper texture is showing 12 Bristol really does make all the difference for smooth shade. I've been hating graphite pencils all these years for the paper. It's like night and day. Layer it up working to darker shades as ya go, blending stubs and a putty eraser are good too. You have good linework going that's for sure 2
Oh and if all that doesn't work out go yell at Karl Lines. He's my grapite guru... and could probably give you way better advice hehe

Great gallery Ivan. Your shading and anotomy are right on. *grin* But could some color soon be in order? You seem to be a master with the pencil... I bet that you'd be great with color pencils. ^_^

1 Ivan Desabrais replies: "Thank you for your comments....Yes, I'm working on color. I will have something up after X-mas. I'm also working on backgrounds. Check back soon! 2"

Nice gallery! You are on the right path to become an excellent artist. I notice you sometimes have a some anatomic mistakes, but those are little ones and can only being overcome after loads and loads of work so... keep working!

12 Ivan Desabrais replies: "Thanks, As soon as the Merge is completed I have an upload that will show my improvements. Thank you for your comments and come back soon."

I love the poses! Wonderful job. I too would suggest to work more on the values. Don't be afraid to push it. I guess the same could be said for my work, however.
