 This is the death of the elven princess Aemiliana ( one of my many characters ), who has been betrayed by a person she trusted ( well ... at least a bit ). What you see on this pic normally comes before 'Elven King'. So there it is. I tried to make her look fragile and beautiful lying in the melting snow ( quite a task seeing she is full of blood :S ) anyway ... hope you like it, inspired by 'Pale' (from the album 'The Silent Force' ) from 'Within Temptation '.

 

 

( I know this is not professional litterature, but oh well ...)

 

Lying in the snow, fading into darkness,

Opressed by my bitter loneliness,

Cold death closing up around me,

Alone with my thoughts, in agony,

I think of you with all my heart,

Longing to see you before I depart.

The memory of your smile my only solace,

Your bright eyes and your handsome face.

My love for you is an eternal flame

With my last breath, I shall call your name

And swear that my heart has been true

In an other world I shall wait for you ...

The amulet glowing golden against the red blood immediately caught my eye. The orange hair spread out in the snow is also striking.

This is very very nice, but I think the snow (despite being snow and all) could use a bit more shadow, especially around her body. But you’ve captured the scene beautifully, otherwise.

What is that green thing? Is that just some grass showing through?
