As the title states this is the mask of Bayushi Kage of the Scorpion Clan. My friend Cliff asked me to draw it so. At first I did it in pencil and then I decided to color it because I kinda wanted to test out my new coloring technique the shadow slash airbrush fist. With this technique I was able to color this pic in about an 40 min. to a hour but in doing so it destroys my pencil sketch. Hopefully the end product is worth it.

Its a good thing you got that mask to hide behind scorpion because there are some wacked out things that are going to happen to your clan.

I think this looks great! But one thing though *there's always a but, heh* I think that if you defined the eye and mouth lines a little more, like make them a mite darker, it would be perfect. Great job, loove that face mask, he looks kinda nazi-ish, dunno why. 1

as i see an read this the picture is of the MASK - the 'face' it's setting looks - as it ought if that is the intent - like a face shaped dummy to display the mask on - like those head things they use to display wigs or neclaces - so of course it doesn't have (or need) real eyes or otherwise more defined features - it isn't a guy wearing a mask - it's a kind of display stand to store and display the mask on - like in a store or a museum - or an armour stand - ready to put on at appropriate time of need or ritual or whatever - anyway the other thing that occurs to me is that since the tecnique 'eats' the origeonal sketch it might be a sensable precation - if you wan't to be able to restart incase something messes up using this tecnique is to store the sketch again as a different file name - (a thing i do often at different stages of developing an immage so i don't have to go all the way back to ground zero if something messes up) - of course you're probably way ahead of me on this thought and have already been doing so all along ... ~12

AWESOME detail around the mask! Even the erased-looking background helps this picture.

Cool looking mask. Im surprised to actually found so many pictures about Oriental stuff. It would be great if you'd create more of these masks, one for each house. It would make an awsome serie, I'm sure!
