As She Looks Away

a star
like a twinkle in the void of her eye
unfathomable
more distant than I’ll ever know

I cry. Thats all you need to know. For the first time I cry within elfwood.

I like it in it's simplicity. I like poems (and poets of course) that refrain from going into the long winding type.
But to cut a long story short... I have to confess, I dont understand it 2

This is indeed short, but I like it. It's very pretty in it's simplicity and it paints a lovely picture. 2

I'm not too good at short things like this myself, I always end up with at least two stanzas...

Anyways, you did a very nice job on this. 2

Okay, this one ties with 'figures' for first. I like this poem because it is short and right to the point. A friend of mine once told me that short poerty wasn't any good, I think that this might change his mind.

This one was my very favourite of yours. I's so elegantly crafted and the symbolism was softly present. i liked this one so so so much... i may have to print it out and put it on my wall, i liked it that much. kudos.
peace out,

Very nicely done Andy. Very nice. The simple wording for such a gigantic idea really sets this piece up nicely. The idea that a human soul, a heart, contained in a simple shell, can be much more complex and distant than the infinite pieces of the galaxy. Amazing how we all yearn for companionship and then push it away...humans are such funny creatures.

I came here via the link from your pops, and I do agree that the talent is geneological. Really it is. I'll be by here much more often now that I know it exists! This is truly great read!

Short and yet so sweet *sigh*

oooo, very sad. It's so short, one can just live in the depth of the statement for enough time, to make it quite sad. I'm glad I read this poem too. nice work.

Great poem!
It conveys emotions that I presently feel now.
This inspires me to write more.
Amazing how you were able to put so much feeling into a piece of this size.
Keep up the good work!
