SciFi and Fantasy Art Forest Fury by Jay w simcox

Tuor Falconeye's bow has the rare distinction of being made from a stave of the fabled Cyvian oak. At the birth of the world, the nature goddess Kappa seeded the earth with her beloved Cyvians and these became the oldest and wisest of all living things. Eons later, during the age of tears when the elven race was split in two by a brutal civil war, the twisted and evil elves of Darg began destroying the ancient forests of Cyvian out of spite. Many wars were fought by the good elves of Velitea to defend these sacred forest, but in time the forces of evil prevailed and the last of the Cyvians was destroyed. Before the last of the great oaks was lost the forest elves were able to save a small number precious staves from the magical trees. These most sacred artifacts are kept hidden and secret, and are given only to most trusted, dedicated and talented of elven Rangers. As with all of the Rangers of old, Tuor is a master fletcher and bowyer, and when he was granted the honor of receiving a magical Cyvian stave he crafted from it a bow of great power and strength. Upon completion of his Cyvian bow, Tuor followed the ancient tradition of naming it and called it Forest Fury to signify the temperament in which he would wield the bow in defense of the forests of the world.

I love the green-tinted chainmail and his decorated yet very functional-looking weapons; he's one very elegant ranger (an elf, heh Great pose, too. You are definitely into the rangers lately! Oh, and have you seen my new Entreri picture? In my SF&F gallery? Jay w simcox replies: "I really didnt expect anyone to take much noticed of his green tinted mail. Always a thrill when someone noticed something that subtle! Took so long to do, but was worth it in the end. The idea behind Tuor's wargear is that he's been around for something like two thousand years(something I must ask nik about) so his managed to collect some rather exceptional equiptment along the way, which is why his stuff looks so great! 24 May 2006	Dillon Elmo Barton	Loading... This is an extremely exelent picture i absoultly love it. The one thing i've found is that his head is somewhat large. Mostly the cheek bones. But his head is the only thine....Out of place in the picture. Keep up the good work Jay w simcox replies: "You may be right about his head a little too big. It looks fine to me, but then i guess it would LOL. One thing i should point out though, is that his is actualy craining his head forward a little to make a difficualt shot with his bow. This is something i put into the pose and maybe thats why it may make his head appear biger than it actually is. Or maybe your right "
