Scan, cut paste into new (the size of the complete drawing) do the same for the other, pasting into the same new file, overlapping. Match up the edges and voilà!

What I do for the things that dont fit in my scanner follows a buncha steps, and makes use of probably any paint program you can use. 1) make sure your substrate (flat media surface) is cut at precisely (VERY important) 90 degree angles. This is to accomodate step 2 and make step 6 a lot smoother. 2)Line up (any) side of the drawing that hasnt been scannedso that it knocks up against the side of the scanning surface. ACCURATELY, by the way, and if it doesnt fit conventionally, rotate it to accomodate the side you are scanning, and dont worry if it's upside-down. This will more than likely HAVE to be done. 3) save as. Anything, basically, just so long as you can retrieve it, but name the first one what you intend to name the finished product. 4) repeat steps 2 and 3 on a different section of the drawing as often as needed to get the whole drawing in sections under different names. 5) Using your painter program (mine is Paintshop Pro 9), Shrink your original documents as you see fit, but make sure to resize all documents to the same percentage of the original. 6) assemble. If step 1 was not taken, you may need to rotate the individual peices to fit each other. This can be very tricky, so no scanning warped drawings, cuz that really screws with assemblage. Also, you may notice tinting on the side where the drawing hung over the edge of the scanner the most. Just erase that edge. Optional, conditional steps: A) if you can make a section into a layer which can be made transparent, do so, and line up the layers directly over a reference point. I like the put reference circles on my drawings strategically placed where I know the sections being scanned will overlap and edit them out once assemblage is complete. Now. As you can tell from my explanation, I have done this quite frequently. LOL, Probably three drawings on my gallery are smaller than 8 1/2 X 11. So I know how difficult it is, and this process was born out of necessity. Good luck.

It works good. You migh try it/. ^.^ Or scan it in portions and put it togegher again. I think her wings should be fuller. Not necessarily bigger, just more feathers.
