| 17 Jul 2007 | Jessica A. Hartzell | Loading...I really like your attention to detail. I also like the fact that your shading looks quite real. And to top it all off, I think that her hair is done quite nicely. I hope you are doing well on all your other pictures. Gina Canady Adler replies: "Thank you very very much!, I'v had to stop working for a few days while my Mom is here. We are working on cleaning up the pile of boxes in the art room. should be back to work very soon." | |
| 4 Oct 2007 | Shawn Hughes Jr. | Loading...Wow...your sense of depth is especially realized in this piece. I would never have the patience to draw that many tiny flowers slowly fading into the background. But this piece did something else for me --by accident, I'm sure-- but still. You concealed her wings just enough to where I didn't notice them for a while, just like she tried to do in the story. I almost hate myself for having to do this, but I must critique on this piece. Her face doesn't seem to match her head, if that makes sense. Her hair is facing directly toward us, but her face is twisted inside it, as if she turned to look sideways and left her hair behind! It makes for a somewhat awkward look to an otherwise beautiful woman and an equally beautiful drawing. Gina Canady Adler replies: "After this piece I had done one other and figured out my main problem with them. My table was laying flat, so as I was working I was actually looking at it at a very bad bad angle. So bad that her face looked more round until you stood it up and stepped back and it was elongated. A big "DUH! DOH!" moment for me. So now the table sits at a angle so I can see better while I'm working.Just a note, I will never ever ever!, Ever!, try and draw lilacs again. *crossed eyes* LOL" | |
