SciFi and Fantasy Art Heroic Acclaim by Christina A. Kniskern


	One of my favorite drawings currently in my binder. Drawn with pencil in Art class. Took about thirty minutes. Later I redrew it onto canvas and painted it.. turned out great, but I gave that away before I could scan it. Well, I like his skull helmet, and the whole sketchiness of the picture.

A nice pose and I like how the bent head is rendered, I'm never able to draw bent heads in a realistic way...Thank you for your comment on this picture, I was beginning to think no one liked it (or maybe it's just too light -- I really should get a hold of the painted version heh). I liked his face as well, I'm glad it turned out well. Thanks again.
10 Feb 2003	Kyle A. Irwin	Loading... Bent heads ARE harder to do, and you've done quite a nice job with this one. Well done! Once again, a background would add wealth to your composition, however... give them a try. Thank you. Yea (again with much regret) I should've scanned the painting version of this before I gave it away. It didn't have a detailed background, but I was very satisfied with the sunset-like sky. I'm sure I can get a hold of that though.. but well, landscapes I'm not too good at yet so I'll be working on that before I start drawing good backgrounds with my drawings.
6 Mar 2003	Cecilia Avis Brown	Loading... I love the way you drew the pose and the rocks at his/her feet. I can imagine how the painting would've ened up. This has to be my favorite in your gallery! Thank you very much, it's definately one of my favorite drawings so it's great to hear you like it as well. And it's vague, but I had in mind that this was a guy. Heh and the rock style was inspired by an awesome anime artist (I don't recall her name at the moment).
14 Aug 2003	LA Gelassen	Loading... Wow... you're very talented indeed. Very realistic piece! It reminds me of King Arthur and the knights of the round table... Thanks! I don't recall for sure if that was the inspiration at the time, but I am hugely fascinated with anything Medieval and I love the whole knights of the round table, the camaraderie amongst them and the loyalty (at least most of them heh) so I'm sure that just subconsciously worked its way on into the picture. I'm pretty happy that you saw that in the drawing.

4 Apr 2004	Andrea Forrest	Loading... Wow...That looks like a difficult pose, and you've done a great job! I like his sword. I like most swords, actually, but his is especially good. I agree with the other commenter who said this looks like King Arthur or a knight of the Round Table. Great job! Thank you very much. It wasn't as hard as other poses I've attempted, heh, strange enough.. but it is a nice, strong pose I think (at least on an emotional level if you think about why he's kneeling like that). Thanks for the comment.
