First, an apology to anyone who acctually stops by here and reads anything, I have been busy of late and have sadly be neglecting my writing.  Hopefully that will change in the near future, hey, it's almost a new after all.  So, that said, enjoy what I have up, new stuff will show itself... one of these days.

** This Just In!  No new news... how amazing huh? **

So yeah... drawings?  Not coming anytime soon, my sketching has fallen far behind, further behind than my writing...

First MC 04/17/2008 ::jumps around for joy, trips, gets back up::

- - In Other News And Then Some - -

Here's a bit about the writings that I shall put up here.  A few of my works are on here for criticism and review, so any and all comments are appreciated, replied to, and revisited in turn.  Also, I am a member of the Comment Exchange.   Which means that the first time you comment on any of my artwork, stories, or main page, you will receive comment(s) in return.  I am usually on each day at least once, or at least every few days, at least once a week, maybe, if the stars are aligned properly, or if fate deems it so, and with that my replies are usually fairly punctual.

Novels:

- Pillar In The Storm:  This one is a definite work in progress, I just kind of threw it together and haven't the faintest idea where to take it, hopefully I write some more on it.  It is based in a fantasy world and involves a good deal, meaning about 99%, of naval scenes and battles.  I have done some fairly major editing and revamping to the prologue and chapter 1.  It seems the fantasy level is just enough to scrape by, so I hope it continues to make it through... yes prologue and chapter one need to be re-submitted.

- Humanity: Remnants and Exiles:  The prologue is still not up, I have to finish one of the chapters and then put it on a ticket, this is going to end up being published one day I hope, I won't put the whole thing up... its about 40 pages right now.  It is a story about humanity being split by a cosmic disaster, and the struggle that follows.  Big military and space theme to it.

Short Stories:

-Cedar Vale & Cedar Vale 1.5: This is a story I have hopes of having published in a magazine, I tried once, but it got sent back, so its here for some criticism and revision!  Edited for easier reading.  (Short by virtue it is not a story with chapters... but is still fairly long...)

-Red Sky at Night: Just another short story, I may try to send it somewhere, but I'd like to get some feedback on it first.

-TUN: The Diary: This is a story I tossed together when in a rather down mood, short, but, well, I guess it isn't to sweet afterall!  TUN is set in a dismal future, where nothing, especially survival, is certain.  We are our own worst enemy it seems.

-The Adventurers Four: This is going to be a series of episodes, following one adventuring party's funny, disasterous, and odd adventures.  It be up, this is my first MC story  ::blinks:: yep, still there.  Currently there are two in the series.

Poems:

Failing Bonds: Up and readable!  A dark poem about dark stuff and written in the dark!  Ok, not written in the dark, but it sounded cool...

Enjoy!

*waves* *pokes Jake with a long stick* I’m back from the dead, and ready for mischief. This is a friendly warning that I’ll send the mob of fairies over until you upload some new stuff. ;-) I’ll edit my stuff this weekend, come hell or Income Tax, so it should be up by the end of next week too.

:-) Jacob Bowdin replies: "Well thank the gods of Elfwood that I made it on here in time to avoid a horde of fairies! I’m not sure when I’ll have new stuff up.. but, ummm, at least I checked in? :: guilty grin ::"

*pokes head in* Still nothing new? I’m just that little bit disappointed. Oh well, will you come over to read my new stuff? Please? Please please?

:-) Jacob Bowdin replies: "Yea... my writing has slackened... I blame... the gnomes... and my lazy muse. I’ll be over in a jiffy."

Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed "Red Sky At Night," and that I will be back in a day or two to look through more of your stuff. Keep up the great work!

:-) Jacob Bowdin replies: "Hmmm, been a bit since that one roused interest =) I like the idea I had, but think it could have been executed a bit better, I suppose most first tries are though, haha, I am glad you enjoyed it. Hope you find something equally, or more enjoyable on the return trip!"

Thank you, thank you, for the The Adventurers Four! I read (and write) waaaayyy too much "serious" fantasy and science fiction, and that was the just the thing I needed to wash the taste out for a bit. 1

Sorry I have to dissect your shelf piecewise; I read on the fly these days because of school and work. Once upon a time, I was actually able to sit down and read whole (and extensive) story collections in under a day, but... :: sigh ::

:-) Jacob Bowdin replies: "Well thank you very much for your comments! I think that series is my favorite out of my stories, mainly because it is fun to write, hehe... and I understand the dissecting, I do it as well, work and school do intrude so."
27 Aug 2009:-) Justine Lim
Oh, Real Life, taking me away from reading and such. Just popping in to let you know that I am very busy at the moment, but I would love it if you let me know if/when you update "The Adventurers Four." 2
