SciFi and Fantasy Art Sacred Door by James Elliott Whitley

This is a progect that me and My friend 'Beaver' worked on. We both designed it and I drew this one. Beaver might be joining Elfwood sometime after he does some origonal work. He also very talented as am I. (not to brag) I had to scan this in three peices cuz it was so big that's why there's a blur line arround half way. took me about 15 hours more or less. done on bashe graphite paper<--(I think) with black #2 and jet black pencils. Done in 2002.

25 May 2005	Justin A 'Merlion Emrys' Williams	Loading... Woooo thats a lot of symbols. Lets see...hourglass, triquetra, pentagram, cross-quartered circles, the yin-yang emblem. Does this have some sort of specfic meaning to you guys, or did you just throw together a lot of sybolism? (Not that theres anything wrong with that). James Elliott Whitley replies: "These symbols all have a meaning behind them. We didn't just throw any and all symbols we knew into the peice. Though I don't feel like getting into details, I can assure you they all have a purpose for not only being in the picture, but also where they are placed. thx for the comment."
