It's late and time to look for shelter. Sifra and Largh have entered the only inn in the area, but the innkeeper won't let a kobold in. He thinks all kobolds are evil and filthy. Sifra tries hard to pursuade him that Largh is not like other kobolds. If she doesn't succeed and the innkeeper still won't let Largh in, they will have no other choice than to sleep outside.

That little dragon (or whatever species it is) looks ADORABLE!!!

:-) Jana Weijers replies: "I'm glad you like him! According to the AD&D book I used this is what a kobold looks like in that world. Well the kobolds in the book were not as cute as this one. And I have to admit I think he looks very much like a dragon, too. "

I really like the style of this, reminds me of one of those old fashioned wood block prints. And the creature and girl's expression are really nice. 2

I really like how you did this in black & white. I think how you did the oninons hanging and the jars in the back are white. You must be a great artist.

It's great the way you showed texture just using black and white!

One little thing... I think maybe the girl is a tiny bit too short. But that's only my opinion on proportions (and I'm not too good at that myself) so I might be wrong!

Congrats!

:-) Jana Weijers replies: "Thanks for your comment. Sifra is a half elf, so she is supposed to be shorter than a human would be. "

Rubbish. You call yourself an artist? Pathetic.

:-) Jana Weijers replies: "Gee, I'm glad with this usefull comment, and so well thought out! "

That's some great inking you did there. I love the way you used solid black and a variety of textures.

:-) Jana Weijers replies: "Thank you! I love to work with black and white! "

Look at those eyes...that little face....how could anyone turn him away?? So adorable and so much detail.

Nicely done.
Though refering to a coment above don't kabolds have a little dragon blood in them?
Don't know, excellent pic though.

:-) Jana Weijers replies: "Interesting idea, about kobolds having a little dragon blood in them. It would explain a lot about their looks. Thanks!"

Hello, i came across this picture and I just had to respond to it!
The thing i noticed originally were the black and white colors, but the more i look at "in the inn", the more i realise how beautifully designed this is!
I especially like the way in which an illusion of space and volume is created with relatively simple lines in the background. I also like the detail on the floor of the inn. The shape on the left of the dog's hind leg looks like a wild flower to me, and i spontaneously get visions of beautiful grassy lands and flower beds. Though every time i look at the shapes, i see something completely different. It changes every time i look at it.

:-) Jana Weijers replies: "Thanks, I'm glad you like it. (The dog is supposed to be a goat...) "
