Most of us have been stuck with stereotypes for ages, especially in fantasy literature (sci-fi authors are at least trying to invent new angles), so you´ve proved yourself to be an original. I´m loving this Sifra, was it, already. As for this picture, it´s very lovely. I won´t say sweet and that´s a compliment, because the picture, despite it´s light colours and cartoon-likeness, actually talks about serious issues, like "fitting in" with the crowd, differences, painful love etc. I´m not usually a fan of cartoon-like fantasy, but your composition is good and i really like yous colouring in this piece as well. But the best part in it are the facial expressions: those are hard to do and you´ve managed to get them look real, eventhough the characters are so stylized. Keep up the good work, and remember to feed ypur imagination so it doesn´t wither away. Jana Weijers replies: "Wow, you really took the time to type this down. Thanks! I'm glad you say such nice things about Sifra. She is very important to me at the moment. " | |
