"flying with the fairies together" by Jana Weijers

Nobody carries a child in their womb for 9 months, only to see him die 2 weeks after he was born. It's very unreal and unfair for a baby to die.
I hope my son is happy, where-ever he is now.
This is him and the child from my miscarriage, who I imagine as a little girl. They're flying with the fairies together.

The pic is based on something I read about Peter Pan; that maybe he was based on J. M. Barrie's older brother, who died as a child. His mother thought of him as a child who remained a child forever. And in the book it is said that Peter Pan ran away with the fairies as a baby. So I thought my baby's could go with the fairies too, and they could fly with fairiedust just like Peter Pan. I think they would like that.

This was coloured with coloured pencils instead of with photoshop, what I usually do. And the colours look better on the original than on this scanned version.
