"Elf and Knight" by Jane Tsai aka Elf

This is wonderful work, showcasing your talents to the full. For a start, I like the composition. It's a little bit dark and dreary, and sort of unclear, which is an interesting view on things. The characters are wonderful, although I actually pictured the knight as looking more like one of Tolkien's elves, and the elf itself to look very feminine and pixie-like. But that doesn't make a difference, it's just my personal observation. The details are excellent, especially the lighting on the armour and the general clothing. I love the use of colour here, you've done a great job. One of the best pieces on Elfwood that I've seen in a while now. I also like the rest of your more anime work, which is rare for me I must admit. However, I'm not going to lie. This type of style compliments your abilities better. Excellent stuff, keep it up . Thanks~^^ Everyone has his own preference^^ however, I do enjoy drawing with this kind of style^^ I think I will paint more in this style if I have the chance^^

The Shading and the detailed Artwork impresses me very much! Especially the metal parts of the armour! It's simply great!
I also like the background and, of course, the characters, but the metal-shading and texture... it's great!!!

Wow! The feeling of this picture is INCREDIBLE! The characters remind me of something from the artist who does Magna Carta. Brilliant! @_@ you mean hyung-tae kim? I am interested to know why it reminded you of him^^

Lovely. The only thing wrong is the proportion of the knight . . . his body seems a bit more to the left than his head it. But for a sketch! damn, this is great. I like the muddy dark colors and the design on the knight's armor; it's very intricate. Hmm, I was trying to present it in a way that the knight's body is actually facing to the side while he's looking straight toward's the viewer^^

Splendid drawing. Is it just me, or does the Knight closely resemble Elrond as played by Hugo Weaving?Now you've mentioned it, I am starting to feel he does look like him a bit..XD I didn't use reference for this painting and I think I did this one before LOTR is released....It's just a coincidence~XD

This is one of my favorite picture's in Elfwood, I have put it in my favorites... It kind of looks like he's looking over the battlefield, thinking about her. And she looks like her lover just left her there, all alone in the darkness... It kind of reminds me of Banewreaker by Jacqueline Carey. ANYONE WHO HASN'T READ THAT BOOK IS MISSING OUT! {It's an AWESOME book!!!}

It looks like a dream. Like... These 2 have come to someone - me, you, anyone - in a dream to tell you something, tell you of a quest or duty you must fullfill. When I read books with scenes like that, hazy and uncertain, this is what I imagine. I think this is perfect the way it just... melts together.
