| 12 Jan 2006 | V. 'Frog-lady' Neuenschwander | Loading...Your drawings are beautiful, traditional pencil drawings and paintings are getting rarer with computer art on the loose- it's nice to find someone who wields a pencil so well. Your pics are very 3-D, and the wings are absolutely amazing- I would like to know what they look like unfolded in proportion to the characters posessing them, though. Stefanie Kern replies: "You're so right about that computer- thing. I mean, I could NEVER handle a computer so well, that I would be able to draw one of these amazing pictures on it, that some people are able to do. But I really LIKE holding a pencil and a rubber in my hand. It feels like really _creating_ something. And while you watch it grow, it's amazing, you did it with your own hands. So suddenly all the mistakes you did are like a lovable part of the picture itself. Well... I'm getting poetic " | |
| 13 Jan 2006 | Danish redhead | Loading...yeah...i wish i had profile here too.. but there are so many rules to remember... and i have a very bad memory! my art doesn't compares yours..its too humble! Stefanie Kern replies: "Thank you once again... don#t worry about failing to answer some of the questions. I messed with some of them too. They write you an email, what you have done wrong, and you're allowed to enter. Furthermore, you can use the rules as a reference in a second browser window... as much as it concerns your skills: If I showed you some of the pictures I drew a year ago, you wouldn't recognize my style at all. I've improved a lot by practising and regarding the most valuable critique of my good friend Pierre Stoltenfeldt. So, don't be shy " | |
| 31 Jan 2006 | Suzanne Helmigh | Loading...You are really good at drawing, I like the angels keep up the good work. (check out my gallery too pleaze ) Stefanie Kern replies: "Thanks you so much. (I usually have a look at the galleries of people commenting on my pictures)" | |
| 1 Feb 2006 | Moray | Loading...Your old-age Hebrew style of drawing angels is refreshing! You have so much talent! Stefanie Kern replies: "Thank you dear *smoochies*" | |
| 23 Feb 2006 | Naomi *OmI* Repper | Loading...Your work is breathtaking stefanie. I remember your gallery as i have been here once before and seeing it again left me just as inspired as before. Wonderful!! Luv omi-chan xxxxxx Stefanie Kern replies: "Thank you for your watchback and your beautiful comment. Hope to see some new additions in your gallery soon but since only recently there'd been some, I guess it will take elfwood forever to upload the next bunch, right I hope I'll be able to add some new ones in a while. | 10 Mar 2006 | Thomas Garbarini | Loading...hey friend nice stuff but I see no legs. I think you should venture out and do full figure, not just cropped at the waiste or covered by a robe: challenge yourself. <3 Stefanie Kern replies: "Working on it " | |
| 10 Apr 2006 | Names are irrelevant! | Loading...Hey there - Because everything's been said already (great wings, faces and painting etc.), I'd just like to make a suggestion: How about showing us what an angel of one of the fallen orders looks like in your mind? I know there is few information on the Raguelites or even the Samaelites, but - well, why don't you try to make something of what you've got *g*? Just a suggestion... Stefanie Kern replies: "*lol* hey there! Do I know you? Well, I've had that idea a few times before. But since there are plenty of characters to be drawn that really "exist" I blieve it is going to take some time until i'll do one of the fallen orders... maybe I'll get a "flash" to do so- we'll see. Thanks for your comment." | |
| 27 Apr 2006 | Enola | Loading...I've been so impressed by "Queenbee" that I just had to check out the rest of your gallery and I really like your pics. You got an unique style as far as I can asses that, I mean you got your own way of drawing wings and of giving faces an emotional content and that's really impressive. At the moment I'm teaching myself how to draw (at least I try) because I've always loved to draw but I really have to improve my skills and your pictures are really inspiring 'cos they are so original and cool. I'm glad I found your gallery! Mach weiter so ! PS: I'm from Hessen, too ;-) (bei Marburg) Stefanie Kern replies: "Erbarme die Hesse komme!Schön noch mal von dir zu hören. Hast du eine eigene Galerie hier auf Elfwood oder sonst wo im Netz? Würde wirklich gern was sehen." | |
| 20 Jul 2006 | Cyphermage | Loading...Your angels are so beautiful! Your pencil work is amazing, and you obviously love your characters. I'd really like to see more of them! ^_^ After being inspired by your drawings, I did some research on the Engel sourcebook and am going to try and find a copy in English so I can try running a game. I usually play fantasy D&D, so the Engel setting will make an interesting change =) Stefanie Kern replies: "That's a really good idea. The game used to be available from "white wolf" but I'm not sure if they still own the rights for the English version. Since i "know" some of the makers of the game I believe there were rumors about white wolf dropping the game and someone else buying it... but I'm not sure. Maybe you can have a try on the white wolf version. " | |
| 14 Oct 2007 | Aly Elliab | Loading...Your gallery is amazing. The clear skin just makes me think of clean springs. Ahh, it was a joy to go through it all. Stop over some time, i would love to chat with ya. Ttfn. Stefanie Kern replies: "Thanks a lot, dear. Unfortunatly I hardly spend any time on elfwood, since they annoyed me big time by rejecting a picture twice (after about two months in the waiting line each time). They said, I put it in the wrong category. I didn’t think so, but hey, that’s life. Still stopping by occasionally. Check out my deviantart account. The nickname is Baalah. Cheers, januel" | |
