SciFi and Fantasy Art Drelin Scot by Janeé A. Polino

Drelin is an (half breed) elf who longs to be reunited with his lifemate, whom he hasn't seen in too many centuries to count. He can feel her presence with him from time-to-time, but inside it isn't enough to fill his heart's loneliness. However, he still holds the optimism that they will soon be together in this lifetime. Although he is willing to wait for her, he is also ready to sacrifice all he can if only to be with her sooner than naught. When I drew Drelin, I used my friend, Monkey as a model to create his features. I didn't want Drelin to have intense muscle tone, but convey more of his emotions instead. Yes, I know his neck appears a little too long, but so is the neck of my friend, Monkey. He sort of stretched his neck out a bit when posing. Copyright ©2003-2004 Janeé A. Polino

11 Jul 2004	Happi Froggi	Loading... An elf, right? Right? YES, and elf, who is not "perfect in every way." He looks kind of Irish for some reason. He has such character. I love it. Janeé A. Polino replies: "Thank you. Ya know what? The funny thing is, Monkey really has some Irish in him, and that adam's apple. And elves do lean more toward the celtic side of things, while being a slight proud, and perfect (so some believe). I never really looked at the drawing that way. Thank you for the compliment and for noticing that."
