This is a nude body study of a D&D Hobgoblin. Please refrain from posting immature comments about his genetalia. It gets old real fast and I'm getting tired of having to censor my work because of people who have a stick up their butt about nudity.

Hey Matt. This is great. You did an excellent job on the detailing of the muscles and such.
And please don’t sensor your art because of people who have a problem with nudity. Nudity is an art form and has been one for centuries. Nudity is allowed on Elfwood and for those who don’t like it they don’t have to look. When I first joined Elfwood 8 or 9 years ago now my nudes started flame wars on my page. I mean it was really bad. So much so that at times moderators would step in. But I continued to draw and post nude characters and I still do to this day. I’m not talented enough to draw clothes other than loin clothes and briefs and that would get really boring after a while so I just leave them nude. Tribes ran around nude for centuries and there are still tribes in certain areas of the world that go around nude. So Please, don’t censor your work because of a few prudes. You’re a talented artist and you don’t need to censor your work.
By the way, I’ve wondered for a long time now, what is the difference between a Goblin and a Hobgoblin?

:-) Matt Jarrett replies: "Hobgoblins stand about 6 and a half feet tall (2 meters) to 7 feet tall, while goblins are about 3-4 feet tall. I suppose a hobgoblin is to a goblin as a human is to a halfling. Hobgoblins are smarter, tactically trained, and more dangerous than, say, an army of orcs, mainly because they are so well organized."

It has always been my impression that hobgoblins would be somewhat like the Third Reich in their behavior and mannerisms, including exalting a leaner but still muscular ideal. However, I would very much expect a cunning, brutish bugbear to look very much like this. Of course, your creativity, your vision. 2

I love your artwork, the anatomy studies are great! I’m still looking through your portfolio, but I just realized all of your male figure studies I’ve seen so far are circumsized. Realistically not likely, just a thought....

:-) Matt Jarrett replies: "Actually this guy and the half-orc in the AD&D Racial Height/Weight pic are the only ones circumsized, the rest are not. So only 2 of the 8 nude males I’ve drawn are circumsized. "
