From the fairytale, this is Belle or the Beauty in front of a glass stain window that portraits the Beast. Done in watercolours and markers.

I really like how you did the stained glass...I just recently tried to draw a picture in stained-glass form...mine, of course, is much different, and yours is better colored than mine...I do love this picture, though. Belle's dress is so pretty!

12 Jaschenka Saarloos replies: "Thanks! I saw your stained glass pic, it's really great! Funny how two pics turn out so different, when they both are based on stained glass!"

THANK YOU! Finally Beauty isn't so stick thin that you can't see her. She looks better that way. I think that that way, she seems nicer. not perfect, and more approachable.

1 Jaschenka Saarloos replies: "Yep..after all..Belle WAS only human, right- why not make her look like that. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. "

The colours are great wish I could color with water colours or marker, but either way I love the stained glass look behind her, and her dress is very pretty.

13 Jaschenka Saarloos replies: "I don't usually work with markers- this was an exception- more often fineliners if I need to put an accent in. Watercolours need a lot of practise but they are fun and I think I am getting the hang of it! Thanks for the lovely comment."

:-) Jaschenka Saarloos replies: "Off you go then! Beasty aint going anywhere.."
