Spider anatomy is tricky, what with all those legs - and I always forget how many knees they're supposed to have.

You know, I have a deal with the spiders in my place - I don't bother them as long as they keep the bugs out...I somehow get the feeling this one may keep small animals out as well.

Spiders have 7 leg segments (that's 6 knees) but the two closest to the body are very short and mostly hidden under the body. You can usually see 5 segments well.

This is great. The shading and atmosphere really rock. I'm such a sucker for invertebrate art, and you see precious little of that, so well done!
