SciFi and Fantasy Art Darkling by Jason Ellis

All fairies are supposed to be girls, eh. Well you tell him! You know why most of the fairies portrayed are female? Well, all the fools who happen along a male fairy & go 'hey, fairies are girls' don't live to tell the tale. Well thats my fairytale & I'm sticking to it! Oh, I think I will start spelling faerie instead of fairy, sounds more masculine ;)<P> Oh yes, I just used lots of effects in this. Was experimenting. I even used the dreaded lens flare... Horror of horrors! I did it to highlight the transparency of the wings. The whole picture was rushed & roughly done... just mucking around with this one.

16 Aug 2003	Wesfield	Loading... I was always told that "fairies" where female. The males where the brownies. Same, but the girls have wings and the males did not. But love the effect!!

14 Dec 2003	Christina 'Perplexity' Likness	Loading... I love the title as well as the pic - very original! I guess he is a water faerie? His skin is sooo cool! The wings are neat, but they look a little oddly placed. Are they supposed to be on top of his shoulders or lower near the blades?

19 Dec 2004	J. Oliver	Loading... I don't know... if I were the only (or one of the only) male faeries in existence, I think I'd be a pretty happy camper! Lots of girl-faery booty! Heh heh.. okay. I love his expression and the way he's crouching, ready to spring. Very expressive. And I think the lens flare is very effective - it highlights his ferocity and magic. Wicked-Awesome!
20 Jun 2006	Kitty	Loading... WOW WOW WOW WOW!!!!!! It looks so real! Like a real photograph! And I'm not just saying that!! The wings look so lifelike! Plus I like the photo glare affect!
