This is an updated version of the first picture I uploaded in Loth. Everyone told me it was blurry. The original program wasn't very sophisticated. I have recompositioned it with Photoshop, using layers for background and figure. Still not perfect. I reckon I didn't do a bad colouring job, the first time... even if I went outside the lines :p

I still think she has a lovely expression. Haven't seen this picture for a while, so it was definitely a right time to correct that thing. But this funny thing happened to me.. I was reading these comments, and somehow I just got overwhelming urge to draw in blue! Isn't that strange.. 12

I love the way you've shaded her skin, it's magical.

Very nice! It looks like it was a photo taken, and then developed using one of those wacky techniques(as you can tell I'm not too great with cameras!)that make pictures looks "otherworldly" or whatever! Is the title written is elvish with english letters? Very smart!

2 Jason Ellis replies: "Thankyou. Well, I did use several photographs for references. I actually painted it with a very basic coral program - no layers or anything like photoshop - it was the most tedious thing I have ever done, the skin painted at very high resolution. There were no photomanipulations involved though; it was a digital painting over a pencil drawing.Actually, I made the name up. It is supposed to be a language called Shentlim; although I only have a vague idea of grammar and stuff. It means Fairy of the Lake. I know she doesn't look like traditional fairies, but the idea was loosely based on Dark Age fairy myths like the Tuatha Danaan."

Heheh...I don't know if I even HAVE a corel program...I'm not great with computers either! All my work is hand done and scanned in...it even took awhile to figure that out! I have a scanning question, maybe you could answer it- I have a picture I had to scan in halves- do you know how to put the two halves together on the computer?

I like the style of this fairy! And the language sounds like Tolkien's elvish- I even tried looking in the index of The Silmarillion to see what it ment!

you have really captured the way i think that elves should look.
That is Inquisitive, beautiful and ethereal, anyway i hope you do more pictures and one other thing i think that the blurriness really helps it get that etherealness, so don't listen if someone tells you that it's too blurry, i think that it's great
