| 24 Nov 2002 | Johan Bergström | Loading...Excellent waterwork (how the heck did he do that???). Nice sunset and horizon too. Nice shading, good colors. Nice feel for the lighting. Excellent facial features. Her posture seems a little stiff, though, maybe she is frozen cold? The folds on the "waterdress?" is a bit to unclear, a little more work there would IMHO bring much to this image. Keep up the good work. | |

| 1 Jan 2003 | Nikki M. LeComte | Loading...i love the dress, and its watery look. i love the warm yellow reflections on it and the water.. it gives her that feeling of the ocean at sunrise, how the sun casts its golden heat down, but can never warm the ocean fully, only the very surface. she seems the same way, not in a cold, ice-queen kind of way, but in a forlorn, lonely kind of way, how the sunlight can't fill the hole in her heart. Maybe she's waiting for someone? Someone, perhaps, that she knows will never come back.. like an elf's lover waiting by the water, wanting their love to return from the Grey Havens, knowing they never shall come back... reading too deep into things. sorry about the LotR comparison, but after reading reviews on most of your stuff, it was the first thing to come to mind. beautiful face. she is amazing in a way totally contradictory to the beauty of your elves. Softer, rounder, smoother, more.. human, i guess. i think you may have found a new fan. Jason Ellis replies: "Wow, what a comment! You should be a writer. Thankyou for your beautiful thoughts =)" | |
| 24 Jan 2003 | Mywiel | Loading...I looked at this picture and I saw the face first and I thought 'he has a lot of skill with the human face' and then I saw the sea and I thought 'oh my gosh' that water is amazing, I couldn't draw the sea to save my life. You have talent, what more can I say. | |
| 16 Jun 2003 | Sarah Colley | Loading...I like the blurred quality to it, something about it really adds a lot to the piece. | |
| 14 Dec 2003 | Christina 'Perplexity' Likness | Loading...I'll have to try out that technique with my colored pencils. SOME of us aren't lucky enough to hav PS *pout* and must stick to more mundane tools like pencils and paints. That said, this female profile is so pretty and serene. I like the sunrise, nice lighting. | |
