Arkamour was created as a key strong hold for the South west of the empire, with hostile
terrain to the North, and west. To the south lay lush farmland protected by high mountain
peaks and rough towering cliff faces giving an almost humbling affect to all those viewing
them from below. With all Arkamour's natural beauty and protection it was easy to forget,
the roaming goblin and orc hordes in the rocky hills to the west or the constant struggle
with the kingdom of Dolmare for which Arkamour was built. Thirty foot high walls stretching
out over one mile enclosing the town within the wall to the north and mountainous cliffs to
the South, West and East. To the Northeast lay another such fortress, and yet another to
the east of that, all strategically built after what was known as the War of Storms. It was
named so because the Empire fought a three front battle, battling from all sides against
the dark hordes of the west helped by their ancestral brethren living deep in the southern
mountains, and the Kingdom lying to the North. Yet instead of weakening the Empire grew in
strength. Forming an eternal alliance with the Dwarvern kingdom of Dalzak, who in turn
helped build Arkamour, Ashkaun and Antuune. For over five years trade had flourished not
only with the Dwarvern kingdom of Dalzak but also with the mysterious Elven provinces to
the Northeast.
