They know nothing.
Still I sit and sip the nectar of no tomorrow.
My first 'Ragdoll' piece in over a year. I really haven't had the need to paint them, and this one was painted from amusement. The 'ragdoll' painting style came about in High School, but did not become a popular subject for me until my senior year. It was a rather rough year that year... ok well it was VERY rough a lot of horrible, horrible things just kept happening and happening, and I felt just like a ragdoll. Everything looked allright on the outside (IE the bright colours) but really everything was so wrong (the wicked subjects of the pieces, and the addition of sick psychedelic colours). The only way that I could convey my feelings to the world was through this work, but the only way I could get people to halfway understand it was to compare it to Wonderland, hence the Alice in Wonderland theme. However, I feel that Lewis Carroll did not intend for his books to have this wicked overtone, I stress that this is not 'MY' take on wonderland, it is 'MY' wonderland, or in such as this case, my real life at the time. The reference to wonderland was my attempt to get people to relate.
More than you needed to know. :)
Though I can assure you life has gotten better.
