| 6 Jul 2002 | Emily M. Ranney | Loading...This is a very lovely piece. Is it just me, or does Ged have a beard? I never thought of him that way before, although the books don't say Incidentally, the white robe almost makes him look like (if you don't mind me drawing the comparison), Jesus (which brings up a whole new aspect of the books). Anyway, very nice work! | |

| 11 Jan 2004 | Noa Eren | Loading...There is so little Earthsea fanart in the woods... *sigh* Very pretty and stylish, and reminiscent of the Bantam Books covers (which I've always liked best.) I think, though, that maybe if you toned down the colors a bit, give everything a more grayish look instead of those vibrant colors, it would go better with the atmosphere of the story - age-old myth style, y'know? But it's still great. I cherish every piece of Earthsea fanart I can find. | |
| 5 Feb 2004 | The Eternal Grunt | Loading...As far as technique goes, this is a lively, nice picture. My compliments on the vibrant colours and the bold, clean work. Now, with a bit of nitpicking: The people of Earthsea are described as dark-skinned and beardless. Nemmerle, who is described as bearded, was a man from Osskil. Osskil and O were invaded by Kargs, and thus the people there had Kargish features, such as beards and light skin. Perhaps you weren't aware of that (hell, I've pictured Aihal as bearded, too...). But, that's nitpicking, so... Keep up with the good work. | |
| 18 Dec 2004 | Anonymous | Loading...Umm... in A Wizard of Earthsea, I thought it described Ged as having black/brown skin...
Good otherwise. | |
| 19 Jul 2005 | Valiantstale | Loading...Thats looking great! Unfortunately, my search for earthsea fanart is scarce, but im hoping when the books are presented properly in movies, things will change for the better. | |

| 28 Jun 2006 | Anonymous | Loading...Its beautiful. Dragons are really hard to draw. You did an excellent job. Now I must say that you have the right to make the dragon any color. Despite what others might say you have this right. It's called a poetic/artistic liscence. It's obvious to me that you were really inspired by these novels. This picture really captures the essence of Earthsea. Keep up the good work! | |
