Portrait of Feanor, prince of the Noldor. Known as the greatest of the elven craftsmen, he captured the light of the Two Trees and imprisoned them inside jewels called the silmarili, an act that was to lead to the doom of the Noldor. Blackhaired and robed in his house's livery, Feanor ponders on one of the jewels, not knowing that his selfish act will lead to his father's death as well as the fall from grace of his people. Pencils and colored in photoshop.

Feanor's my favorite character and you did him justice. The play of light and shadow is well done, the Silmaril is brilliant in more ways than one. His eyes though, I know they are encased in shadow yet somehow it ruins his face a bit.

Very faithful rendering of the tragic prince of the Noldor. 2 (You got his broodiness down perfectly. I've always wondered if Curufinwe suffered from manic depression, or if Tolkien simply meant him to be have the moodiness all great artistic geniuses seem to have....either way, he's in good company. 1)

Wow. Some serious emotion in this. But why the lense flare? Creating a new screen layer works so much better for glowies.
