SciFi and Fantasy Art Norman Knight by Jay Javier

Being a figure modeller, I wanted to make a 3d model of one of my favorite figurines. Depicted is a Norman Warrior in mail and helmet. He is armed with a spear and a kite shield. I imagined him as rising out of a misty landscape with a spear, ready to throw at his enemies. The figure was modelled in Poser 4 with accessories modelled in Raydream, except for the spear, which I downloaded from another site whose address I can't remember. Rendering was done in Bryce and post prod ion Photoshop. The textures were handdrawn and converted into suitable texture maps in Corel's pretty useful texture software.
