A portrait of a Rider of Rohan -- one of Eomer's, maybe it's even Eomer himself, fearless Eored. Horse and Rider modelled in Poser, with additional modelling done in Raydream (helm, waist, sword and shield...spear is a downloaded model). the textures were all digitally painted in Photoshop and CorelPhotopaint. Background was made from a neat new program I just downloaded called Terragen. Its a pretty neat program that isn't a memory hog like bryce and is capapble enough although I still have to figure out how to render within the program without color bandings.

I like this. The horse is good, and the rider is looking good in his seating. The only thing that worries me a wee bit is the greencolour on the horse, but that might just be me. Yes! Great one! I like! Do more!

This is good! All I have to say is that his helmet should look more like a less-wealthy knight, a bit more rohirrim-ish. I'm not good at drawing horses, that's a great one.

This is a very cool idea, and well-executed. I love Éomer's red-leggings, and you have obviously done an awful lot of research into the armour and weaponry. It has a very Nordic feel to it.
The only quibbles I have are that there is not a white horse tail attached to the helmet, and the left fore leg of the horse is at an odd angle; it appears to be attached too far down the shoulder. If you made it appear a little higher up, it would look the better. The actual joint and position of the leg is fine.
As others have said, the dun colour of the horse has turned green, but I'm sure that's just photoshop, and no fault of your own. And kudos, I say to you, for making the horse dun- much as I love grey's, there are far too many of them!
All the best.

hmm...it looks great, only it reminds me more of when pippin (or was it merry? Can’t remember off the top of my head..at least, not at almost two in the morning) rode with Eowyn as a soldier...Could just be me, though...
