'Princess Jasmine' Washington replies: "it would look better colored, but my main fear off coloring is that i will mess it up in some way. one day when i'm felling moody and start coloring, i will make sure i pick up Mark's pic and color it. then you can smile upon the colorered virsion of a mad fox boy." | |
| 27 Mar 2004 | Jessica Lynn Cochran | Loading...ooh! Another one with good emotion I know, I've given a lot of comments, how about some crit? I've noticed that you've gotten really good with drawing bodies. But, you seem to have a bit of trouble with faces. Namely around the eyes. In the 3/4 profile you have here, his head shouldn't indent so closely to his eye, or as sharply. It should be a much smoother line. You also draw eyes quite large, but that seems to fit your style so I won't go into it (unless you want me to...). His jaw also seems to be a bit angled, I'm not sure if that's what you meant to do or not...as it could be a part of his changing. His body is perfect except for his upper arm. It should be a bit longer. If you put your arms at your sides you'll notice that your elbow falls somewhere just below your ribs. it's not overly long, but not really short either. Everything else I love! The pout to his lip, the gracefulness of his calf, the bunch of skin on his stomach, all great details. And his foot is great! Makes me jealous (I can't draw feet). The hunched look in his shoulders really conveys the emotion as does the positioning of his arm. Great attention to detail there. His ears are so cute all bent down like that! Makes him look so sad! 'Princess Jasmine' Washington replies: "You are right. I had to go back and look at it again, the angle of his jaw is way too sharp, and about the 3/4 view, I never get it right. :b There are a lot of thing I need to work on. Thanks so much for the CC.
