SciFi and Fantasy Art Phoenix Costume by Jolie E. Bonnette

This is a costume that I designed and built from scratch for the Houston Witches Ball, halloween 2004. The headpiece is made of Hearty sculpting material and several packets of feathers as well as the better part of 3 feather boas were sacrificed to cover the back of it. Hard to see in this image, but under the 'fire' cloak, there are also three feather boas forming a 'tail' and red velvet leggings with gold glitter swirled designs up the legs. I have since vowed to NEVER do another feathered and glittered costume like this again! We're STILL picking bits of feather and glitter out of everything in the house. LOL In fact, my fiance has said he is putting a ban on the use of glitter on anything in the house until all of it's gone. *snicker*
