"Stardust" by Jolie E. Bonnette

This image was originally done with the notion that it would be my square for Via Colori Houston 2009. However, due to circumstances beyond my control, I wasn't able to do the event. The stardust effects utilize several brushes created by Stephanie Shimerdla as well as some Paint Shop Pro tubes. The rest was hand painted other than the sky part which I did with a manipulated gradient fill. Yeah, a little cheating on that, but after spending so much time painting the girl, I just wanted to get it done and the experiments I conducted trying to paint it by hand to get the look I was after just weren't working like I wanted.
