Jolie E. Bonnette

Jolie E. Bonnette

Jolie is a Pagan writer, artist and musician who was born and raised in SE Texas. She adores tribal and fantasy art and is mad about ferrets. Her artistic styles range from realism to surrealism and cross a wide array of subject matter from fantasy and mythology to wildlife to horror.

My art is very much influenced by my Pagan spirituality and the things I learn from it. I have always been a very creative person. I'm an animal nut and I love to read. I also like to RPG. My art has always been a sort of release valve for me, helping me much through the boring mundane world. While a lot of what will be seen in my gallery will be digital in nature, I enjoy many different traditional forms of art as well. I've created art in a variety of genres, but my favorite subjects have always been more fantasy/sci-fi/horror related. I now sell a good bit of my work on merchandise and recently stated sending prints to convention art shows (currently on hiatus until I can get a day job to fund all of that). Due to having to reduce the color depth and resizing issues required to get my work into my gallery here, I apologize for how bad the colors and resolution are. The originals look MUCH better!  I highly recommend you take a peek at the art on my actual art site since I don't have the restrictions on size there. The difference is immense. Also, you will find more information about the images and, sometimes, little story blurbs that go with them.

If you'd like to see where my art art and/or I will be, check out my online calendar !

I absolutely love the vibrancy of your colour, and your use of patterns! I think my favorites in your gallery are the more abstract looking ones, such as the phoenix. Really impacting.

WOW! Poor work!, Poor subject selection. Below average use of color and imagery! Maybe you should learn to paint first before showing like this in such an open public forum.

:-) Jolie E. Bonnette replies: "Wow, I'm so impressed with people who bash but don't have guts enough to leave a name. *smirk* I've sold and had my art published. Have you?"

Pity you can't spend more time practising your so called art .... too much time spent on other pursuits I've heard ... glad there are others out there willing to help instead of hinder aspiring talents .... something you could do with by the looks of this stuff

Darned shame you can't spend more time on your technique's, and less time "stalking and harassing" innocent people. Judging from the look of your work, I'd call it plain old fashioned jealousy. BLECH

:-) Jolie E. Bonnette replies: "Hmmm... "stalking and harassing innocent people"? You must be one of those art thieving rippers we keep turning in. They're the ones always whining about being "harassed" when artists lay down the law about stealing their stuff. I'm so hurt by your remarks. *mock pout* My granny threw harsher remarks than that. NEXT!"

*points to above comments* arseholes ... Basically!

I can tell your strong enough not to take pathetic comments like such get to you. But i just had to call them that ^^.

Your work is lovely and each piece has an interesting and unique structure to it which personally appeals to me.

xxxxxxxx

:-) Jolie E. Bonnette replies: "Oh, I had a couple of lame art thieves get pissed off and leave childish remarks because they got reported to artists for stealing thanks to a group I run. I just ignore them. *snicker* I don't do the art for anyone but myself anyway, so if others enjoy it that's great. If not, it's no skin off my nose. LOL I've had worse comments and words are just words. *shrug* Thanks for the kind words, though. they do make me smile when I get them. 1"

Hi there. Ah, so I see (ref the comments on the Anubis themed pics). Good on you for reporting it and hopefully it’s just a bug that the Elfwood mods will be able to sort out eventually. There are a lot of aspects of Elfwood that seem to need a tweak nowadays.
