I think if you practise your shading and actual drawing technique before you splodge paint on it that may also help. Its OK laughing at people whom just use pen to draw but if they can do greatly detailed pictures in that medium alone its sometimes more admirable than using paint. Which i know from personal use hides many a mistake. I think i have a few books on how to draw i could lend you. Your shading seems OK but theres always room for improvement.

And also as the girl above said drawing from photos and i've seen alot of people on Elfwood obviously using photos from womens magazines to help them draw, and as you always seem to have problems with the human face, maybe you could do that, just to learn from.

I think you should draw someone with skin like the funky pattern you did on the fire unicorn's coat, it would really suit your style!

while I adore your equines and such, i must insist that you draw more poses! everything is a side view or pointed towards the right..though beautiful it can get a bit boring

Hi
You are doing good work, but since you asked for constructive criticism on watercolour use I'll give you some 12

Try working without lines. Work with shades instead when you look at real things there isn't lines showing what is background and what is foreground, what is clothes and what is skin, shades do that, diffenet shades of colour and different shades of light. Try making a picture without lines. Watercolour is very different from other media like pencils and inks since it allows you to build up very fine shades using multiple thins coats of colour, try to use this in your painting, mixing colours both on the paper and on the palette.
