This drawing is actually inspired by a Simon Bisley comic, which appeared in Heavy Metal magazine years ago (Slaine; thanks for refreshing my memory). I only used the theme and pose of the character, however; it is not a copy. In the comic, he is a god of death, and is old and scrawny. He ends up stumbling and breaking one of his horns. This drawing is a more powerful, vengeful ruler of the dark and all of its denizens.

The picture is great! I belive the god is called " Herne the Hunter" i old English folklore. Thats where Bisley got it from, probably.

He is naked? Sick, dude. He looks horny. I think I'm high, but I'm not sure. Lord of the Underworld? Lord of the Deer people sounds better.

Very cool drawing, very cool. It reminds me of Northeastern American Indian myth of the Windingo. A man that eats the flesh of another human in darkest part of winter, he then becomes Windingo, a thing that stalks the winter woods always hungry for more human flesh. The Iriquoi always seem to have it represented with antlers. This is a great representation whether that's what you set out to do or not. I like your work.

I happen to love the bones he’s holding. Awfully cool!
