Have you ever thought about making 3D models of your designs, you seem to have great technical and organic drawing talent.

If you’re interested, I would recommend a freeware program called Blender. (http://www.blender.org)

I really like your drawings. I have one question to ask you. Did you make these pictures up from the top of your head, or are they pictures from a show or game that you drew. It doesn’t really matter if they are from you or someone else because they are VERY GOOD DRAWINGS!!!!!

:-) John R. Claussen Jr. replies: "It’s all a product of the dark recesses of my fevered, alcohol-fueled imagination. "

I’m glad everybody likes JB’s work. He has been working very hard over the last decade to improve his work... and I think he has succeeded. What is on this site is only a fraction of his work, and one day I hope he gets the recognition he deserves. If anyone is in the Chicago area, and would like to test play the game these drawings are from, get in contact with JB... the book version is close to completion. Thanks.. I love you Honey!

I have to stop coming to the Elfwood site; so many pretty pictures make me jealous! Your flights of fancy are quite fancy, and your graphic characters have that Richard Corben depth to them. Totally impresive!
Not bad for a red-leg....??

:-) John R. Claussen Jr. replies: "Richard Corben? Wow... he’s one of my all time favorite artists! Thanks for the compliment! But... I dunno exactly what a red-leg is...

Cougashika: Red Leg: old timer Army slang for artilleryman (supposedly due to the red branch stripe on the uniform in the Civil War era).
It could be worse; during the 70s the 1st Cavalry Division Artillery soldiers wore a red beret - the same kind adopted by the Boy Scouts (though the Scouts had adult supervision...).
An I am serious about the Corbenesque style in your poses and shading. If you can perfect that "mise en scene" style of storyboarding he had..., oh, wait. There’s no more underground comics anymore. They went the way of the "head shop" and other stuff of the 60s. Cougashika, aka Mike Keeran Sr."
