SciFi and Fantasy Art Lochiver Carries Gwennhwyfar by Jennifer G. Sewalt

Lochiver, carrying a frail elf girl to a safe location. This drawing is from an online rp event, in which I was in the process of developing the Lochiver's personality, as he interacted with someone else's character. I have not decided on what he really looks like yet, as you will see that he looks different in the two pictures that are posted. I don't particularly like anything that I have done with him in it. (I like the way Gwenn turned out much more than Lochiver...)

1 Nov 2000	Elin Lien	Loading... I just love the contrast between the tiny elf (she's looking so scared!) and Lochiver... And some great shading work. But Gwennhwyfar is just unprenouncable! Is it Celtic or something like that?Alas, the name "Gwennhwyfar" was made up by someone else that I role-played with. I usually got around that problem by referring to her as "Gwenn".

20 Jun 2001	Some person	Loading... i think gwenhwyfar is welsh, unless i'm thinking of gwenhwivfair. or was it gwenhwyvar? Dog gonnit, why can't they just have one way to spell it and pronounce it???? anyhoo, really cute picture. good job! Jennifer G. Sewalt replies: "Thanks! PS: I told her the name was difficult. I told her I'd just call her Gwenn. There I go putting the full length name in this drawing, against my better judgement. laugh I think if we all just breath slowly, and call her Gwenn, the world will be a better place!"
9 Sep 2003	Aaron R. Maurer	Loading... Great pictue I love it. But the name Gwenhwyfar (Goo win hooee var) say Hooee fast like a WEE lass. Anyway the name is the original welsh version. It is celtic.
