SciFi and Fantasy Art Haunted Bathroom by Jessica Conaire

This drawing was based on a dream I had sometime last year. In my dream, it was night-time and I was walking along a dark, lonely corridor. I turned right into the bathroom which was large and empty of people. The walls were tiled with white tiles and towards the back of the bathroom/ rest room were the rows of toilets and showers. The back of the bathroom was in darkness. As I walked in I saw there was a hand-dryer on the wall wih an arm coming out of it. The arm was reaching towards me, trying to grab me and pull me towards it. A feeling of horror came over me and I ran out of the bathroom. Done in watercolour pencil. The watercolour gives it a sort of painted look. Paint would have been good to use, but more messy. I used darker colours such as black, grey and blue for the shadows to make the picture look scary.

If you visit my gallery again and look at the picture "The Hungry Earth" you'll see how I digitally created a similar picture with an arm hanging out of a dead tree log. 14 Sep 2005	Malin ´Silver Wind´ Nilsson	Loading... I really like the concept of this picture, and I think that you made some good colour choices. Also, well done on the fore shooting of the arm and hand, though I think the upper arm looks a little thin. But then again that might have been the way you saw it. Even though you used some blacks and blues this doesn't strike me as very scary (but I can imagine the dream to be). I think heavier shadows would make this more dramatic and threatening. Anyway, well done. The hand dryer looks like the real thing. Jessica Conaire replies: "Hey thanks for the comment, Malin! I used a photo of my arm and a photo of a hand dryer to help me draw this."

5 Jul 2006	Randy ''taffy''Linbourn	Loading... love the imagination in this pic but what really scares me is the thought of drying your hands ,them .WHOOSH ''HELP !SOMETHINGS GOT MY NUTS'', because of the angle /height of this arm ? can you imagine it ? i'm being pulled through a hand dryer by my nuts.. a guy walks in ,sees me attached to a hand drying in the hip area and thinks ''ermm, i think i'll come back later'' and makes a sharpe exit... noooooo come back!,it's not what you think!.......at least you girls got a fighting chance because you always go to the bathroom together , ;0) Jessica Conaire replies: "Hehehe....You're so funny!
