The Fates
-An introduction-
In a world away from our own, where it seems our dreams come true, there is a planet called Riorta. This planet lies in a galaxy toiled with chaos and impurity. Yet no story could ever be told of war that would outlast the war upon this planet. On Riorta lies the Three Great Tribes of Men. These tribes have been at war for long centuries, and its people and the people of the galaxy have named this war the Neverending War. It is that such a war was not always. The tribe of Argonath, which was the mother of the three, is by far the most peaceful and the tribe resides in the Great Forest –Kaityan-that means in the tongue of Argonath “Forest of Light.” The second tribe, Ladanyan, lies in hills so which they can hold ambushes. While they are more violent than Argonath they are more peaceful than the third. The third and last tribe of men on Riorta call themselves Roatain and they are by far more violent and have high technological usage. It is this tribe that has controlled the Neverending War for the longest of all tribes.
Yet it was not always war on the planet Riorta. Long days ago when the air was not filled with hatred, men roamed together with much respect. Though a void came upon them and many turned against one another. The tribe of Argonath became separated and from it came forth two tribes; the first was Roatain and the second, Ladanyan. War became when those of Roatain wanted to rid Riorta of all Argonath, and so they declared war and attacked the people of Kaityan. Thus, did the Neverending War begin, for then Roatain stated war on Ladanyan and their obvious objective was to take control of the planet and rule by their law. In this the tribes of Argonath and Ladanyan fought back and throughout losing many battles they manage to defend their homelands and keep their children safe.
For centuries and millennia since, have the three tribes been in war. This war seems to never end and the hatred is all that is left. Love is hard to find in the hearts of those who do not come from the same tribe and many are killed everyday for that hatred and ignorance. Lo, in the times of men’s first days was a prophecy laid. A prophecy that spoke of a war that would last forever and then a salvation that could alter such a planet’s fate.
“Upon the earth and skies, when war seems to never end,
Three will begin to fly, and great peace shall they send.”
Welcome to the time of the Fates, when a dying world shall have the chance to be spared and for maybe, in great hope, peace to be restored at last.
