the faerie of death approaches me
she sings her haunting tune so clear
she sings so beautifully in my mind
that there seems to be nothing that I should fear
she dances with the lightest of feet
it seems like she plays in the wind's breeze
she laughs at the wind in a mockery of joy
and she chases away the early freeze
she runs to me and winks her eye
then giggles at me with hidden delight
then she waves her wand above my face
and the day changes into the night...

This is a wonderful poem, and it shows a lot of contradiction - how a faerie of death is playful in her ways, but her playfulness isn't always what it seems. Very beautiful

Hey, tis me again. Are you getting sick of hearing from me yet? I hope not... =) This is an awesome poem. I love the idea of a masked death: you think you're okay, and then everything goes black. The ending is great, it's very powerful. You know, this will sound strange, but I find myself reading a lot of your work because the titles sound cool. The best part is, you don't disappoint me and I'm always happy I followed the link. Great work again! =)
