Tag As FavoriteComment		She was still sitting motionless on a rounded river rock, her feet suberged in the stream and her clothing clinging to her like a frigid second skin when Kiernan found her. Without thinking, Kiernan knelt down in the river by the woman he now knew he loved and seized her in his arms, and with the water swirling around him, he tilted her chin, closed his eyes, and kissed her deeply on her chilled mouth. An electrifying and deeply satisfying current passed between the two of them, connecting them in a new bond of intamacy, as he shared the content of his heart with her in a few longing breaths. In truth, the connection between them was similar to fire being stoked by wind--it's flames carried high above the earth by the powerful undulation of the draft, shedding its glowing embers as it climbed ever higher toward the heavens. Miraculously, in this moment when her spirit had been crushed and was lying broken for all to see, Alainn Eremon had been reborn in a second flood of life-giving water stained red by the blood colored cape eddying around both her and her deliverer.

It was harder for me to figure out what parts of her story to put here than it was for me to draw the picture! This is not even close to the picture that Jamie puts in your mind with her enchanting words. I don't think I did her justice, but alas, all I can do is try. Take the time to read her story, you won't be sorry you did! Thanks Jamie for giving me the opportunity to challenge and better myself as an artist!

Ha ha! I got first comment! IT LOOKS FANTASTIC! Oh, the look on her face is just what I imagined! The cape flows like I imagined as well. Kisses are so awkward to draw, but I think you've done a marvelous job with this. I'm flattered beyond words that you took the time to do this...flummoxed really...but honored and humbled by your skill with a pen and pencil. This is really amazing. Better than the first and second drafts! Thank you again for all your kind words and for this WONDERFUL piece! **kisses and hugs**

1 Rachael Evans replies: "YAY!!!!!! I'd be willing to bet that there is an artist talented enough to color this in photo shop, I'll have to ask around. I think color would really make it jump off the page! I'm sooooooo glad you like it ^^ Honestly, it turned out better than I expected *giggles* If I can't find someone to color this one, maybe I'll do some individual character portraits with some paint, that would surely be lovely! You're words are inspiring and I'm amazed that no one else has dared to put a face to your babies ^^ *huggles* I'll let you know when I get the bug again ^^"

Wow! Great picture! I love how you drew Alainn! Her hair, her position! Her boots! Yes, I'm odd, I love her little boots on the shore... Kisses are hard, so are guys; lol I'm glad you drew the kiss scene and not me! LOL Mentos, girly! Great job!

Yes, I agree with above commenter, the drawing has a gentle and beautiful flow, making the couple the centre of attention. The kissing is very well drawn. To illustrate something to a story must be quite demanding on your imagination, portraying what's already there but not on the paper yet. Great work, Rachael.

2 Rachael Evans replies: "*huggles* Thanks Louise! Your kind words mean a lot to me ^^ I don't remember how many drafts I did of that kiss, it was so hard to get it to look natural. I don't know if you've read Jamie's story, but her words REALLY paint a picture in your mind. I could see what I wanted, but it was difficult for me to get it down on paper as I imagined it. I'd still like to add more to the background, but I'll need some sort of reference for that. Okay, sorry for rambling, thanks for stopping by!!"

The whole picture has a beautiful flow to it, like everything is in harmony. Great work on the folds of their clothes.

the girl is the best and water is LOOKS like water how u do that lol

As for the water, that was luck! Although, looking at it now, I realize that the lines should have been going vertical, not horizontal *smacks head*"

Wow! This one is nice too! Jamie must love having so many dedicated artists to illustrate her work (I just have one, boo hoo!) Makes me want to go back and read more of Fire and Wind.
