I noticed you put all the focus on them here; often I put them into my drawings spontaneously and for no reason, just because I love how they look and what they mean to me. Rachael Evans replies: "*hee hee* I didn't even really notice that they were checkered until you pointed it out, a neat little coincidence.
I do like wings as a matter of fact, I guess you could say that I'm drawn to them; but not only feathered wings, you'll notice I have quite a few butterfly wings in my gallery too ^^ This particular picture though focuses on the wings because Liadan found out that she is bi-racial, half human and half 'bird person'. She discovered her wings at her coming of age. There is a link in the description of this picture for Abigail's story, and it really is a good story. You might like it ^^
