Wheee! Look at him! Handsome, thouhg personally I prefer blond LOL No really he looks good! Though I suggest you go a but darker in the colour pencils and like the person above says: add more contrast! For the rest you're still doing a great job at picturing the personalities in the book! Good going!

Rachael Evans replies: "I know, I need to be bolder, but I'm too scared! I'm afraid that I'm going to screw it up, but in actuality, I'm sure it would look better. Zakk is hard to color too because he's got a smooth creamy and pale complexion. So I can't really use peach, but I think if I mixed some cream color in there it might smooth things out a bit and enable me to use more color. Thanks for the suggestions, it really does help!"

most bishies are..ahem.. gay.. [not ALL mind you..but it is a common assumption] and most of the time they're showing a little more than their hands and face.. but i had trouble drawing guys.. like.. well.. like i do now..just because i suck at anatomy.

great job on this piece. i think i like the lineart better though.. i dunno..contrast maybe? probably personal preference. tadaa!

*eyes first comment* most bishies AREN'T gay None of mine are lol *huggles her poor Zakk tightly* Zakk certainly isn't...ask Melissa XD *giggles* but..sorry I haven't been able to keep in touch much *sniffles* my classes are really killing me..but I've been stressing alot over my uncertain college future ^^;;; I have been working on the next section of chapter 7...so Lands isn't dead..it's just proceeding very slowly ^^;;; but..only 4-5 weeks left of the semester...so when that's done I'll have alot more free time on my hands ^^ But...*cuddles* he looks great ^^ the only, *only* thing I would change..*if I could draw more than stick figures.. ^^;;;;; * would be to make his nose not as wide...(yes..hit me..I said he was fine..but you know how I am about being picky ^^;; since you put so much work into these drawings and don't charge me anything to do them ^^;; * but..really..he looks totally cuddable..as he should ^^ *really is going to shut up now..the comment's already way too long lol *

aww ^^ well..I did really like what you've done with the Aiden pic..especially how the flame almost looks like celtic knotwork..you've done Vari? I haven't seen anything on him! O.O As for Lands..if you peek by my page..there's a new section up XD XD

Rachael Evans replies: "I just missed first comment on the new section of 'Lands'!Does Aiden look okay? I like the fire too! Much better than the old one. I'm quite nervous about coloring Aiden. There will be a lot of light effects coming from the fire in his hand and the colors will be difficult (for me) to get right. But I'll be sure to make a few copies so that if I screw one up I can just start over ^.^Vari is up in the fanclub photos section under 'merpeople'. The title is 'Vari...sexy!' *laughs* I thought it was funny ~.^"

OOO...pretty colors I like it!

*looks at a few of the previous comments* Maybe I'm in the wrong spot.. lol.. Anyway, still. Wonderful job with contrasting colors.. you did a good job of having bangs on him like that but still not losing his masculine side.. (what worse curse could a guy have then to lose his masculine side? ) Maybe his nose could use a little more shading.. but personally that always gives me the very worst trouble, partly what pushed me towards anime, though I'm slowly working back toward realistic. *shuts up* and great contrasting colors, btw.

Rachael Evans replies: "*grins* Thanks for the compliment. I agree with you about the shading on his nose, that was the hardest part of the whole picture. What really got me was that he is suppose to have a creamy sort of ivory complexion, and I wasn't sure how to go about doing that with the tools in my possession; which are at this time, PrismColors. I think I might redo this whole pic, same pose but maybe different colors. Well, his wings will be the same color, but I may change the shirt color. Okay, enough rambling. Thanks for stopping by!!"

He looks a lot older than I pictured him, but I still like him, especially the wings. Don't be afraid to add depth to the colors on his clothes, make 'em as vibrant as the wings!

Adorable! I love his purple eyes and the white hair - gives him a very mysterious touch!
