An acrylic painting from 2001. This is my try at a centaur- I definitely need more time drawing horses. A good resource for this is in the FARP. Anyway, like most of my stuff it came out pretty stocky- more of a pony, and I am really not sure of its gender either.

AAAH!!! NO comments! How can that be!! I love this! The pose is so powerful! The coloring is great, too. Acrylics can be a tough medium sometimes, especially when it comes to blending. I love the warm tones on the rocks. Well, if it's not a guy, it's a really brutish girl, ain't it! 2 I love it!

What's wrong with that horse part? A nice, solid body it has, a very well-packed form, if you know what I mean.

It is not really bad, the horse part is quite good. The upper portion of it really looks like it is masculine. I think that the hair and crown sort-of make it a confusing situation.

:-) Jedediah Dougherty replies: "I agree. I think that is what throws me when I look at it too."

Draft horse with a body-builder torso, I love it. Matches beautifully, and whats this with the drag comments? Never even ocurred to me that he looks feminine, and, oh wait, it still doesnt.

very nice...

Quite bulky for a girl but you never hesitated to make a large fary...but still... Looks more guyish...so I'd say that it's a dude that likes to dress in cenrtuar drag.

This is in no way a slight on your bold imagery of muscular women- I think it's awesome- but the build of this centaur's upper body really works well with the lower- there is a certain solidity that just works here, and it has alot to do with your style as well as tastes. I also think it appropriate that for alot of your imagery, the powerful females are complimented or juxtaposed to elements that somehow play off of that strength- like the stone image of the goddess, or, in this case, the stocky might of the centaur. Well done!

I love HER!! She looks like me ( a masculine woman ). Only I'm not part horse. The horse part looks just fine. It's very draft horse-ish. I just love it all!!! YAY!
